In order to contribute to the development of Islamic thought and to provide solutions for the contemporary problems of the Muslims and humanity at large;

– NRTC collaborates with the academicians of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM)

– NRTC supports and encourages academicians and post-graduate students of IIUM to undertake research on Bediuzzaman Said Nursi and his work the Risale-i Nur

– NRTC engages in research activities on fundamental matters of Islam along with pressing issues of global concern on Islamic, moral, social and humanitarian aspects.

– NRTC facilitates comparative studies of the ideas of Bediuzzaman Said Nursi and other scholars

– NRTC aspires to contribute to the collaboration of Turkish, Malay and other international academicians.

– NRTC is planning to establish an academic journal for providing platform for academic publications

Applications for external awards should be preceded by a brief letter of inquiry to determine whether the Project’s present interests and funds permit consideration of a proposal for research.


The NTRC provides professional free training services for and in cooperation with students, academicians and stuffs of the IIUM.

What we Offer offer?

Risale-I i Nur Courses
The NRTC free Risale-I i Nur courses has have been available over at the free certified since 2014 part of IIUM student activities.

The 8 modules of the course will take an average student about 10 to 15 hours to complete, and they learn a wide range of topics in Risale-I i Nur.
If you complete all the modules, you can qualify to receive an official NRTC certificate. Unlike the course, however, you’ll need to fork over somepay an amount of money if you’d like that official recognition.



Talaqqi learning is Islamic lesson conducted in a halaqah (small group). It is led by a qualified teacher and guided by a certain book in order to attain a certain spiritual status. We offer weekly free talaqqi sessions to focus more on specific topics of Risale-I i Nur in order to have high level of understanding on Bediuzzaman Said Nursi’s thoughts.

Training of Trainers (TOT)

Training of Trainers (ToT) course is answering an international demand for more well-qualified educators and facilitators who are able to conduct our Face-to-Face and Project-Based Learning programmes on various fields of Risale-I i Nur.

Taking the ToT is part of the NRTC learning journey and brings you one step closer to becoming a certified trainer. The minimum requirement to be certified is to complete the following:

1. Attend a NRTC Certified 8 ModulsModules of the Risale-i- Nur Courses.
2. Complete the minimum of one dimension of the NRTC weekly Talaqqi program , focusing on the area you want to teach.
3. Attend the NRTC Trainers course.
4. Pass an interview during the NRTC ToT.


Turkish and Ottoman Language Turkish Courses

Start learning Turkish with our more comprehensive Turkish language lessons. If you want a more structured studying plan with lessons and homework assignments, follow our Turkish learning courses available for beginners. available and iIntermediate level groups for Ottoman language Turkish are in progress.


As part of its activities, NRTC engages in consultancy efforts in following ways;

  • To help interested academicians and post-graduate students in the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in their researches on Risale-i Nur and provide references from Risale-i Nur into their continuing researches
  • To provide consultation to the students in Turkey who are interested to continue their undergraduate and post-graduate studies at IIUM and vice versa.
  • To encourage students to embark on student exchange programs both from IIUM to Turkish universities and vice versa.

Bediuzzaman Said Nursi Project for Research, Training and Consultancy (NRTC) conducts international conferences in collaboration with the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and other parties for the following purposes:

  • Contributing to individual and societal developments
  • Identifying and expounding key issues and values that are necessary to sustain exemplary societies
  • Eliminating ignorance, enmity and disunity among Muslims communities and obtaining enlightenment and unity
  • Identifying the problems and factors that lead to all sorts of extremism and exploring appropriate solutions



NRTC conducts workshops and seminars in the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) for the students, academicians and staff of the university in order to share and exchange ideas as well as contribute to the individual, academic and professional efforts of the IIUM community.



  • NRTC provides Turkish and Ottoman Turkish language classes with comprehensive and satisfactory syllabus and materials by native Turkish teachers.
  • Classes start by the second week of every semester and continue for eight weeks.
  • Registration is received at our centre in IIUM.



NRTC Manager Yusuf Kara delivers lectures/tazkirah at IIUM Shah Mosque after salat on a weekly basis in order to help students maintain their consciousness of Allah and steadfastness in their lives.


NRTC lecturers also attend IIUM FM live broadcasting and deliver lectures. (This one has no photo)



NRTC collaborates with student societies of the IIUM and conduct joint programs with them for the intellectual and moral enhancement of the students. (This one has no photo)



NRTC arranges student exchange programs for its selected students to go to Turkey for two months in order to attend some intellectual programs and visit historical and cultural places in several cities of the country.


NRTC organizes social activities and visits with its students.
